In this position he will give lectures to the classes, etc. Dr. Loiiie>on will also act as locum tenens for Dr. Eyre's private practice during his absence. The choir of St. Bartholomew's church, Kaiapoi, entertained Miss Wilkinson, and presented her with a necklet, locket, and greenstone heart. The Rev. J. Holland, the vicar, presented Miss Wilkinson with a handsome copy of hymns. A Hamilton teJegram <?tat<?e that Mr w!m> was taken to the Waikato Hospital on Wednesday suffering from gastric hemorrhage is progressing satisfactorily. The three oldert teachers in the Otago education service have resigned on superannuation, namely, Mr Milne (Givernhani). Mr Reul U'okoniainro), and Mr Barton (Portobello).
