A FRENCH VIEW OF CHINESE LABOUR.
United Press Association—3y Electiio Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, April 13. M. Yves Guyot. the celebrated French publicist, writing in the Paris journal " Siecle," says that if Sir H. GampbellBannerman, the British Premier, suppressed Chinese labour on the Rand, it would seriously injure the gold indretry and proeperity of South Africa, and would mean tho committing of as serious a blunder as when tho late Mr Gladstone signed the Majuba Convention, which followed the disastrous defeat of General Colley at Majuba Hill.
