PRINCIPLES OF A MISSIONER'S WORK.
In bin preface to the report of the Leeds Mission, the Rev. Samuel Obadjrick lays down three guiding primcapks of a miaaoner's work—to fill tho chutdh by raising tihe (spirittoally) dead, to hunt the wolf a» well act tend the sheep, and to supplement the spiritual Church by a ministry of social sympathy and compassion. How these principles work out when applied practically to the seven centres of the Leeds Mission may be 6een from tho report. In sixteen years the almost deserted chapels Have been made clean, comfortable, and crowded, together seating 6600 persona. The headquarters at Oxford Place have been rebuilt and extended at a cost of *80,000, and every Sunday night the spacious auditorium is crowdMi to the doors. The total membership is 1921, with 379 on trial and 327 juniors. During the year the Medical Mission bias ministered to more than 2000 people, and there are 700 registered voluntary workers engaged at the various centres. #-,
