Maeon brought down a large team from Yaldhuret, consisting of Munjcet. Savoury. Delaware, Edna May, Highland Reel, Porcelain, Seal Rock, Sortykcff. and Huascar. The two last named were not stripped, and the others did nrrth'll3: beyond steady exercise. Red Gauntlet and Heirloom put in an appearance, as did the Hon. Geo. MoLcan's representatives, Sychem, Apollodoria. Notus. and Sonia. Martian (J. Pine), who bod his shoes removed at the sheds,, was tried over a- mile on tho gross in tho presence of his owner, Mr J. Buchanan, end pot to the end of the journey in lniin 41 3-Sth sec. He was assisted by Fir* Iron (R. Einp) over the first four •furlorjj*, which were reeled off in 50 4-3 th tec, and was timed from a> racing start. Though creditable, his effort was not one which there is reason to enthuse over. The conditions were perfect for time makin<r, and the performance was bareiy equal to running a mile from barrier start in lmin 43ecc. Aspegai (R. King) he'd Tsitsiher safe whilst galloping sevfeh fur'.ongs on the plough in lmin 30 4-sth aeo from a- flying etart, the last five fiirlonse being accounted for in lmin S 1-Sth sec. MasU-r Alis. Convoy, and Lady Landon were given walking exercise in a paddock.
