CO-OPERATION IN LOANS.
(Received April 12th, 12.32 •.sn.) SYDNEY, April, 11. The Premiers discussed the question of the Federal capital site. The genera} expression of opinion was that the delay and attendant expenses rested with \he Commonwealth Government, which, it was claimed, could settle the matter when it. chose. It woe ultimately decided to adopt a course of Action which means waiting (or developments.
It was resolved that the States sliould co-operate in floating loans, co as to avoid competition with, each other in the market, and to secure the best terms in regard to interest and charges. It was decided to uniform rate of brokerage for local loans.. Decisions were come to in favour of promoting reciprocity amongst savings banks, and' arranging a combined Australian Exhibition in England, * travelling one being ~ The Conference reaffirmed the necessity of restricting the sale and use of opium.
