The Right Hon. the Premier was in town for the best part of yesterday, and in the morning he received a deputation consisting of the Hospital Trustees, who had several matters to lay before him. In the afternoon Mr Seddon went out for a ride, and subsequently inspected the Exhibition buiJding. Hβ left for Wellington last night by the Manuka. The Hon. James Oarroßl, Native Minister, is confined to his bed with an injury to one of Ihis legs. The Hon. T. Y. Dunean arrived from WelMngtoui by tfho Tarawera yesterday morning. Cfopbain Hull, the Rev. Mr Aeflrcroft, the Roy. M.r Pinfold, the Rev. Mr Fitzgerald, and Mr W. A. Kennedy arrived tirom Wellington yesterday. Mr C. H. Cook of the National Insurance Co., leaves to-day on a holiday trip to Sydney. The Rev. P. W. Fairclough, returned tp Wellington Hast evendng. The Rev. J. A. and Mis Jougtbin, of Woodend, were passengers by the South esprcs* yesterday for Waimate.
