Speaking at tho Methodist Conference the Rev. Mr Lewis said there was a subject: to which he was surprised no allusion had been made. When a step was taken by tho daughter of the revered Royal family, in order to marry a Roman Catholic prince, our Puritan ancestry and our Protest—nt convictions impelled us tq resist- statecraft characterised by such an impious expediency.
