At a meeting "of the Resenrce Cohsorvatipn Society",'. a resolution T\ae pai?sed setting out that in the opinion of tho meeting; the tourist attractions of Dunedin and its neighbourhood Lad not received from the Government the attention they merited,. and that the Tourist Department be .strongly '..Urged to devote some of ite energy to the development of these attractions, and to fcako means to bring them before the travelling It was pointed out that 858 men were 'employed by the Roads Department in Auckland, and only 35 in Otago. Comment was also made on the fact that in tho Tourist Office in Dunedin there was not one picture relating to Dunedin, and no placard intimating what excursions could be made.
