LICENSING COMMITTEES' ELECTIONS.

THE CHRISTCHURCH NOMINATIONS. The poll for the election of the Christchurch Licensing Committge will tako place on the 13th inst. It is understood that it is not likely any further nominations will be made beyond the two sections already before the citizens. These are:—Messre T. H. Davey, M.H.R., F. Trent, P. Laane, T. Gapes, and G. Payling, and Revs. Dr. Erwin, J. Orchard. R. S. Gray, and Messrs Salter and Flesher.

The following have been, nominated as candidates for election as members of the new Waitaki Licensing Committee:—Herbert Clifford Barclay, Andrew Carter, George Miller, John MoGregor, and James Sinclair. All except Dr. Barclay are membere of the present committee. _ , For the Kaiapoi Licensing Committee Messrs W. Buss (Rangiora), J". W. Foster (Rangiora), 0. Leech (Rangiora), ,W. Doubleday (Kaiapoi), and R. Coop (Kaiapoi Island). have consented to be nominated. ~ It is expected that the present Licensing Committee will be nominated far the Hurunui district and that there will be no contest.
