THE NEWCASTLE WHARF LABOURERS.
(Received November 17th, 1.7 a-m.) SYDNEY, November 16. Tbe Newcastle Shipping Company on Wednesday notified their wharf hands that the pay would be 48s per week of 60 hours, the overtime rate from Monday to be Is 4d, instead of Is 6d per hour. The men demurred, but to-day intimated their intention of accepting the terms.
