DUNLOP AUSTRALASIAN ROAD RACES.

It is now certain that New Zealand will be represented by a team of not lees than twelve competitors in tlie Dunlop Goulburn-Sydney race (131 miles), which takes place on Saturday, September 16th, and also in the Warr-nambool-Melbourne race, on Saturday, September 30th. The inquiry, having been held with respect to the- entries of eeveral piize-winnere, the referee, Mr W. E. Thompson, has given his decision, which reads as follows:—"I liave to report that I have gone into the question of the entry forms of several of the placed nlen in the Dunlop Timaru-Christohurcli road race, and, after due consideration of the evidenc3 collected and submitted by the handioappera, I havo diecided that the judges' decision be upheld, as the conditions printed* on the entry -forms are so worded as to be possible of misconstruction from what was intended. Had it not been for this ambiguous reading of the entry forms used, the incomplete entry forms sent in by several competitors Would; undoubtedly have caused disqualification. , I would respectfully recommend to you the use of the amended entry forms tent in by the handicappers.—Yours truly, Walter E. Thompson, Referee."

The Dunlop Tyre Company are in receipt of a cable message from Sydney, giving the following handicaps of New Zealand riders in tho New South Wales event: —J. Arnst, scratch; H. Eenddreon, Smin; 0. Nedlson and H. Lloyd, 20min; P. O'Connor and A. Hurin, 25 mm;" Mehrtens, 30min; F. H. Bell and Pointer t 35min; G. N: Longford, 40min. Apart from - those riders above mentioned, W.
