A FASHIONABLE WEDDING.
A social event of considerable interest to, Christchurch and Dunedin residents took place yesterday, when Mm Mabel Louisson, second daughter of the Hon. C. Louisson, of this city, was married, to Mr Max Colin, _ of. Dunedin. Tho ceremony was held hi tho Chrktchurch Synagogue, mid was conducted ■by tho Rev. A. Chodoivski, of Dunedin. Tholtav. I. Zachariah, of Christohurch, was ■to have officiated, but was prevented from doing so on account of ill— ness, - and tlie Rev. A.. Chodoivski took his place.,The Synagogue was decollated with evergreen and arum lilies, and the ceremony was witnessed by over two hundred relatives and friends of the Sarties. Miss Louisson, Miss Marks, [iss'Fisher, and Miss Taylor were the brideniaids, Mr Cecil Lomssjo'n acted as best.man, and the bride was given away by her father. Figured chiffon over satin, with handsome laoe trimmings, veil of real laoe, and court train were the main features of the bride's dress, the bridesmaid's costumes being composed of-white crystalline silk trimmed with lace, together with tulle hats decorated with mauvo flowers. Each bridesmaid was presented by tho. bridegroom with a gold cable, bangle.
After the servioe a reception was given in the Art Gallery, charmingly decorated and arranged for the occasion, and later in the day tho newlymarried couple left for their wedding tour.
