Scotland lost nine wickets for 211 runs. Tho match was drawn. THE FOURTH TEST MATCH. THE ENGLISH TEAM. LONDON, July 19. . The English team in the fourth test match will bo:—Hon. F. S. Jackson, A. C. Maclaren, C. B. Fry, R. H. Spooner, W. Brearley, J. T. Tyldeeley, T. Hayward, G. H. Hirst, W. Rhodes, A. A. Lilley, E. Arnold; reserves, W. Leee, S. Haigh. [Of the above all but Spooner and Biearley have taken part in one or incre of tho previous matches played thU season. K. H. Spooner was educated at Marlborough College, and during his last season there ho scored 69 and 198 against Rugby School, ati Lord's. A couple of weeks later ho plajed for Lancashire against Middlesex, at Lord's, and he made 44 and 83—a great performance for a schoolboy. After that season he went to the war in South Africa, but he reappeared in the Lancashire team in IL'O3, and sinoo then ho has been one of the mainstays for his county as a batsman. Last season in all first-class matches he made 1889 runs, and averaged 43.93 per innings. He scored five centuries, his highest being 215 against liXsex. Ho was invited to join Warner's last team which visited Australia, but had to declino. Since Mold has ceased playing for Lancashire, Brearlej has been tho most successful fast bowler in tho county, and ho has also performed very well against the Australians this 6eason. He is a good (ast bowler, and last year he secured 95 wickets at a cost of 20.82 rune.]
