THE HOLIDAY.
.The holiday for the Prince of Wales's birthday was very generally observed yesterday by shopkeepers. At Kaiapoi, Ashburton, Leeston, and other places a close holiday was kept. (rasas association tklxcbahs.) DUNEDIN, June 5. Mr Seddon has received from tbe Prince of Wales a cable thanking the colony for birthday congratulations. * WELLINGTON. June 6. - To-day is being observed by some of the shopkeepers as a holidsy, instead of Isst Saturday.
