MR REID AND THE CHIEF JUSTICE.
United Press Association —By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, May 25. Mr Reid expresses profound regret at the position the High Court has taken up, and regards it as a publio calamity. He is certain that if the Chief Justice would address a letter to the Attorney- v General containing the particulars contained in the telegram to Mr Reid, but couched in the ordinary form of official correspondents, and ask him to submit it to the consideration of the Government, it would result in satisfaction to all parties.
