The barque Quathlamb* was cleared at the Customs yesterday afternoon, with a cargo of produce for Auckland. The vessel will probably sail for that port to-day. . The Union Company's steamer Kini arrived at 10.30 a.m. yesterday from Greymouth, via Timaru. with a part cargo of coal and timber, lie vessel will' finish discharging this evening, when she sails for Greymouth direct. The steamer Taieri, whioh left Westport on Saturday night for Lyttelton met with a heavy southerly gale in the Straits, and had to put into Port Gore, ft bay situated between Peiorus Sound and Queen Charlotte's Sound. Advice has been received by the Union Company that she left there at 9 o'clock yesterday morning, and should arrive here this morning.
