PRESIDENT'S COMPETITION.
Lyttelton outplayed Avon on the Polo ground, and won by 9 goals to 1. For the winners Gellety (4), Cousins (2), Winterbourne (1), Whitham (1), and Varnie scored, and for the losers Opie (1). Mr Potter was referee. A match was played at Lyttelton on Saturday, between teams representing the Addington Ladiea' Hockey Club and the Lyttelton Girls' High School Club, when the former were victorious by one goal to nil.
