■ i _. + A MUNICIPAL PLATFORM. (PRESS ASSO-lA-lOW T-T.ZGBAI-.) WELLINGTON, February 24. The following is the municipal platform drawn up by the~several Wellington branches of the Political Labour League:— 1. No further sale of municipal lands, the housing of the people at reasonable rents. 2. The establishment of abbatoirs and workmen's bouses, the establishment of fruit, vegetable .and meat markets, the establishment of wood and coal depots. 3. The acquisition and extension of works for the/ manufacture of gas and electricity, arid the supply thereof as light and power. 4. All works to be performed by day labour, trade union rales of pay. and hours to be observed. 6. The closing of shops on Saturday for the weekly half-holiday. 6. Free music in public places at suit-, able times.
