The' Shaw, Savill Company's steamer Aotea, from tue West ot England ports via. Auckland and Wellington, is expected to reuch Lyttelton about the midd.e of next weett. lne vessel nas about 1160 tons .ot cargo tor this port, and alter discharge will proceed to Duncuin. The steamer*. Defender is'bcing\fittcd with a new mizzen mast by Mr M. J. Miller, of Lyttelton, to replace the one lost on her last trip to this port from Greymouth. 'I'ho vessel is expected ta sail to-day for Hokitika, direct. Tiie Wellington "Post" states that the Shaw, Savill uner Athenic will remain at Gisborne for two or three days to await orders. Mr Morrison, lato engineer of the steamer Aotea, which was wrecked at Patca recently, is to join the little .Nelson trader Lady Barkley. Mr Healy is now second officer of the Warrimoo. The wreck of tho steamer Aotea, which now lies on the beach at Patea, has been purchased by the anchor Foundry and Shipping Company of .nelson. The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Tongariro, which is-at present loading at the Uuiff, is not expected to reach Lyttuton until to-morrow. After talcing in quantity of cargo here, the vessel leaves again on Saturday for' Auckland. The Union Company's collier Kotuku is expected to sail for Grcymonth. The German ship Marie, from Philadelphia, via Wellington, sailed from the latter port for Lyttelton, at 8.45 a.m. yesterday, and should, with a fair wind, reach here at any time. The vessel has a part cargo of kerosene for discharge at this port. The steamer Burgermeistor Hachmann', from New York, vm Australian ports, Auckland, and Wellington, left tho last mentioned port at 4 p.m. yesterday. Tho steamer Cygnet sails this afternoon for Abaroa via Lo Bon's Bay, and will return to-morrow afternoon. She leaves on Thursday night for Kaikoura. direct. Ihe Blackball Company's steamer Parcora left Greymouth at 6 o'clock yesterday morning, find should arrive at Lyttelton about daylight to-morrow morning. The Darquentine Senorita arrived at Helens, villo on Sunday, after a record trip of four days from Newcastle. Tho colonial mails which left Melbourne by the Orotava on September 2 Q ,th, arrived in London on Sunday, the due,date. The Kittawa arrived from Greymouth at 9 o'clock Inst evening, with a quantity of sleepers and timber. She leaves again for Timaru to-night.
