Tlmj local wheat market has been at an absolute standstill, this state of . affairs bfcing probably due to the absence, during the past week, of any advices as to the condition of the London market. In oats very little business has been done. There been further enquiries from Groat Britain for cowgrass, of which, however, -there is very little offering locally. Old pasture ryegrass, weighing up to 301b, is Almost unobtainable, and to-day o. few hundred sacks could be placed at from 4s 7Jd to 4s 9d, f.o.b. Tho following are the current prices paid to farmers, free of commission, except v.ltcro otherwise specified: — Wheat—rearl and Tuscan 3s 5d to 3s 6d, Hunter's 3s 4d, at country stations. Oat*—H«ivy Canadians Is 8d to 1» 9d, milling Garten's Is 7d to 1* Bd, feed Garten's Is 6d to Is Yd, short feed Is 6d to Is 7d, Duns Is 5d to Is 7d, Danish Is 4d- to Is fid, at country stations. Barley (nominal)— Medium 2s 3d to 2s 7d, at country stations. Beans—2a 8d to 2s 9d, at country station*. Peas—Partridge 3s 6d to 4s, Blue Prussians 3g to 3s 2d, Blue Imperials 3s 3d to 3? 6d, at country stations. Flour (millers' quote ttons)—Roller, £9 10a ip&r tonPollard—£4. jir.-in—£3 ss. Oivtmoal—£lo. Oatshenf Chaff—£2 10s to £2 12s 6d, at country stations. Potatoes—Denvents 17s, at country stations.
