The Council resumed at 7.30, when tho second reading of the Cook Islands Bill was agreed to on the voices. THE SUPREME COURT JUDGES BILL. The Supreme Court- Judges' Salaries Bill was road a second time. During the discussion the Attorney-General intimated that the Government intended submitting proposals this. for increasing tho salarios of the Speakers and Chairmen of Couiinitecs of both Houses. LOCAL ELECTIONS BILL. The .Local Elections Bill was committed. Tho only material amendment made was that the Returning Officer, instead of giving his. casting vote in a tie should dc-ter-mine a tkd election by lot. Progress , was reported,.and the Council adjourned at 10.15.
