♦ LETTER FROM DR. McGREGOR. In reply to Dr. Levmge's letter of resignation from the position, of superintendent of the Sunnyade Asylum, Dr. McGregor, Inspector of Hospitals and Asylums, has written to Dr. Lcvinge as follows: — "I feel very much the loss that your removal will -mean both to mc personally, and to tire Department, a loss which I cannot adequately express. Your departure from Sunnyside will sever a lick -with tie past, and when you remembsr the state of that institution when you took charge, and compare it with its present condition, you cannot but look with pride on the record of work well done. The further fact that is known only fully to myself, is tlvat invariably you were, among all of the superintendents, distinguished by your uleeplefs vigilance in looking after the real interests of every member of your staff Your administration hae always Ixvn characteristic of the utmost solicitude foi their welfare, and your devotion to tluinterests of the asylum em a whole has been beyond praise."—Yours D.
