A CROWNLESS MONARCH.

King Peter of Servia stands a good chance to be known as "the crownlew monarch." A Bulgarian telegram says:-— "The coronation, which had been fixed for let June, has been indefinitely postponed. The King, being poor, asked the Skuptechina to provide the cost out of the public exchequer. This request was promptly refused. The King then tried in every city of Europe to raite the few thousand dollars sufficient to buy a presentable sort of crown, but this efforb also remlted in failure. It ie possible that the King may resort to an iron crown, but for the present he will be compelled to content himself with the religious service and the- ceremony of aroninting in the old Servian monastery of Tacica.
