SOUTH AUSTRALIAN POLITICS.

ATTACKS ON GOVERNMENT. United Press Association—By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright. ADELAIDE, July 14. Tlie Government was attacked twice in the Assembly, first by Mr Shannon, the newly-elected leader of the Liberal party, with a "sudden death" motion that the House adjourn, and a direct .vote of want of confidence by Mr Price, the Labour leader. The latter regarded the "sudden death" motion as subversive to constitutional government, and tlie Labour party voted with the Ministers. Mr Shannons motion was defeated by 25 votes to 14. The debate on Mr Price's motion was adjourned. It is expected that Mr Shannon will support the Government, in which case the Government will have a majority.
