Southern win the flag, being the first team outside Alhambra and Kaikorai to win the, premiership since 1890. The reception by the Mayor of the New! Scuth Wales Association teem of footballers -will take place at the City Council offices to-day at noon. N'Tuahuriri beat Cust oa Saturday by 6 points (two tries) to 3. THE WEIGHT OF BREAD. (SPECIAL TO "THE FUESS.") DUNEDIN, July 12. The charga? against ba.kers of selling light-weight bread were concluded to-day, when four more bakers were fined 20s an-J coite for selling baxracouta. loaves under 2!b weight. Ah a result of the prosecutions, the bakers propose to make barracouta loaves as hitherto, between lib and 21b in weight, but to stamp them as lib loavea, and sell them at a fixed price. This is the practice followed in Auckland.
