JAPANESE IN STRONG POSITIONS.
BOMBARDMENT OF TORT ARTHUR BEGINS. (Received Juno 9th, 10,45 p.m.) ' LONDON, June 9. The Japanese have occupied strong positions at Pulantion and Kinchau. Nino warships bombarded the coaat between Siyungyucheng and Kaiping. Those etationed at Dalny take turn in guarding the entranoe to Tort Arthur. Chinese reports state that the bombardment of Port Arthur by land and sea has begun.
