MELBOURNE, June 9. 'Mr Bromley, for health considerations, has resigned the leadership of the State Labour Party. Mr Prendergast has succeeded him. METHODIST CONFERENCE. The Methodist Conference resolved that, if practicable, before the union of the Presbyterian Churches is consummated, a scheme be devised for giving students for the ministry of the respective churches a united theological university training. A motion by the Rev. Lawry, of New Zealand, to allow laymen to take part in the final stationing of ministers, was remitted to the 1907 Conference. A VESSEL LAUNCHED. (Receivec?
