The schooner Houga, which is in charge of Captain E. Peterson, has just completed ft fast passage from Lytteltoja to Nelson, via Auckland. The little vessel left Lyttelton on llnrch 29tb. with * full cargo of produce, and arrived in Auckland on A_Pri' sth. She sailed from there on the 1 8th, and arrived at Tairua on the Oth, leaving again on the ICth for Nelson, wheio she arrived on the 23rd, thus making tho round trip from Lyttelton to Nelson in twenty-five days. The Honga goes from Nelson , to Greymouth, where she will load far Lyttelton. . The Union Company's ateamer iloeiaki, ! which left Sydney at 2.30 p.m. on Saturday last, is bringing 200 passengers for New Zealand ports, and is duo in Wellington this morning. Captain, Burton, of the Shaw-Savitl steamer J Kararpea, which arrived at Dunedin last Friday, from London, reports having seen brilliant displays of the Aurora Austrabs. during the last ten days of the voyage. Hβ! also report* having passed a bell buoy adrift, on the morning of March 12th, in latitude 26.57 N.. longitude 16.88 W. The Union Company's steamer ie duo at daylight thi» morning with a consignment of 1540 sheep from Napier. The departure of the Kennedy for Cheviot, Kaikoura and Wellington has bean postponed till to-night. Th? The Union Company's collier Kini will not leave for Wostport and Greymouth until to-n-orrow.
