SATURDAY'S MATCHES.
The second round of the various competitions was played on Saturday. The rain which fell during the morning made tlie grounds rather heavy, and the ball greasy, but fortunately very little fell during the progress of the games< There was a fair attendance at Lancaster Park, about £15 being taken at tbe gates. The Senior Championship matches resulted in Sydenham beating Christehurch by 5 points to nil, Albion defeated Canterbury College by 29 points to nothing, and Linwood won • their match against tlie Old Boys by 26 points to nil.
