(r_—_ ASSOCIATION' TELEGRAM.) ■ NEW PLYMOUTH, April 24. /The man Ellis, who -was wanted in conpection with the Te Awaite tragedy, was -arrested at Urenui on Saturday by the Waiter- police, ' A man named Len Collinson was shot on Mr Riddiford's station at Te Awaite, ' ttear Martinborough, on February 26th. He Was with a mate, named Alfred W__om Ross, and was measuring up some bush which they had'felled, when the tragedy occurred. It was near dusk, and Ross „ had left hie companion to cut a sapling, % when he heard a report as of a shot from ■>ti n gun. (Looking round he saw Collinson V lying dead.
