TO THB EDITOR OF THE PBES3. Sir, — itr Jlassey. does not give himself the full benefit of the figures relating to Tammany and the West- Coast. He states " the population of the Buller, Inangahun. Grey, and Westland counties represented 4 443 th per cent, of tlie total population," "and had received a percentage of 133-sth of the total expenditure." This is not S per cent, more than their share, but nearly three tinwe their ehnre (as 68 to 24).— Yours, etc., SENIOR OPTIME.
