NOTES AND MEMORANDA.
A meeting of the ratepayers of the Valley ward of the Heothcote Road Board will be held on Friday 'night in t&e schoolroom at 7.30, to consider the aJvisableness of annexation to the borough of Lyttelton. The annual meeting of the Dairymen's Union of Employers will be held in th« Zetland Hotel at 8 p.m. to-morrow. A lecture on "The Law of Suggestion" will be giv.en to-night, in connection with the Metaphysical Uub by Mr J. 08. Hoare. The class which the Board of Managers of the Associated Technical Classes instituted last year for dress-cutting and dressmaking on the 'Frisco system, will begin a new term this afternoon at 2.30, when intending pupils may bo enrolled. Miss Campbell will lecture to women in Trinity Hall, at mree o'clock this afternoon, on health topics.
