CYCLING.
fi. meeting of the committee of t«e Christchurch Cycling and Motor Club was held on Monday, Mr J. Boyd in th? chair. A cablo was received from Major Taylor's manager in Sydney, asking jf a meeting could be arranged for Taylor early in May, on his way back to America. It was decided to try and arrange a meeting at Lancaster Park on May 14th, the secretary to cable- for all particulars. The secretary reported that Adams Star Cycle Company . had given the club a Royal Swift bicycle for a road race, and it was decided to .hold the race on May stii, from the Plough Inn to West Melton and back. Seven new members were elected.
