HORSE SALES.

At Tattersall's on Saturday, there waa an entry of 60 horses, there being no good draughts, but some useful harness horses. Medium draught* made £26 to £38, best saddle-_nd harness horses £21 to £26, medium £14 to £18, and hacks £7 to £12. At tho Canterbury Horse Bazaar, there were 26 horses offered, and a fair demand was shown. Draughts brouaht £18 to £38, best saddle aad harness horses £16 > to £27, others £7 10s to £14, and ponies £14.

Ths Darfield monthly sale wkw held oa Friday, when 2500-heap aad lambs came to hand, 'being the largest y_r_si« for sometime past. The entries wsre.mostly sihorn ewes wil_ fombs at foot. There were only a few pens of fab sheep, chiefly ewes said light vfsight wet_*r», the bulk of those entered a« fat* being little better than sood forward atoreS, and were bought for fuiishing. There waa only one small lot of fat lambs, -ivhiob, not making owner'a idea of value, was passed at 14s 3d. There was a good attendance, and bidding was Siod for most lines. Tine following ore s prices:—Fat crossbred wethers (shorn) 17s lid to 18s, trnfinished ditto 16s to 17s. fat crossbred wethers (in ths -wool! 21s 6d, fat crossbred ewes (shorn) 16s 6d to 18s 2d, lighter sorts 12s 7d to 13s 3d, fat merino wethm (shorn) 13» lOd, fat merino ewes (in the Wool) 13s 2d, four-tooth crossbred wethers (shorn) 15* lid to 16s 4d, two-tooth ditto (shorn) 14» Id to 14s 6d, crossbred «swe# and lambs (m the wool) 12s lOd to 14s all count, shorn ditto 10s all co_nt, merino ewes and lambs (in tihe wool) 7* 6d to 8s 6d oil count. '
