' To-morrow afternoon and evening the annual sole of work in connection with St.* Matthew's, St. Albans, will be held in the schoolroom. There wiQ be a large variety of articles tor sole, and a Mod programme of vocal and inetnanental music Witt be given in the afternoon and evening. A special meeting of dairymen will be held ads evening at tbe Zetland Hotel. An alteration has been made in the December time-table of tile Christchurch Tramway Company, by which several of the trams ore made five minutes earlier in starting. • A special meeting of Court Thistle of the Forest, A.0.F., will be held to-mor-row nign. ai eight o'clock. At the complimentary concert to he given to Mr Percy Denton,' in the Canterbury Hall, on Thursday mgbt,\be following will ttmtribute items:—Mrs Boras, Misses K. Yovag and M. Orehua, Messrs A. Mfflar, T. Vmcwrt, B. 6. a>Wer7_. Cookson, P. Hockley, Winter Ball, and Dr. Crouke. The Garrison Band, under Lieutenant A. J. iMerton, will also play selection*.
Lost night, ot the Cftirch of Christ, Durham etreet South, Mrs Strutton gave an account of the home life of Mohammedan and Hindu Women. To-night she will conduct a service for women only. On Friday nighbMr H. totrutton, who baa apent over eight years in India, will give a lantern' lecture, when ant a hundred views will be shown.
