AUSTRALIAN WOOL SALES.
SYDNEY, November 27. Wool—Greasy wool sold to 11_6*, and scoured to 18Jd. MELBOURNE, November 27. At the. wool sales, superior merinos were very firm, and good to average met a better demand, while crossbred wool was unaltered.
Messrs Dalgety and Co. have received the following cable message from their London office, dated November 26th: —"We quote Canterbury frozen mutton, crossbred wethers and maiden ewes, 55-651b, f.a.q., 4d; North Island ditto, 3*d. to 3jid; ewes, 2jd to 3d; Australian mutton, crossbred or merino wethers, f.a.q., heavy weights, over 601b, 3d per lb. Prime Canterbury lamb, 32401b, 4jd; North Island lamb, 44<L New Zealand beef, ox hinds, 180-2201b, f.a.q., 3|d to 3Jd; ox fores, 2d to per lb. There is a fair demand for frozen mutton, but tlie demand for lamb and beef is poor. The wool sales continuo firm, and prices of fine crossbred, are somewhat firmer."
