Tlie Government Savings Bank Amendment, and Commercial Causes Bills, were, passed. Tho Premier, in his closing speech, replying to the good wishes of the leader of the Opposition, angrily denounced the attempt* made to belittle tbe Government and the State. It might be that he would not come back to tbe Assembly again. The reason £ or this would be tbe tactics adopted in regard to carrying out publio affairs. The attack was warmly resented on behalf of the Opposition, and a disorderly scene ensued, resulting in a count out.
