There will be no wash up on the New <Conimi£sioner's Flat Company's dredge this week, as operations hare (been interrupted. The dredge was to, recommence work last night. The 'Greenstone Three Mile Company's dredge w*s refloated on Tuesday night, and th* leak was temporarily stopped. The return from tho Reeves's Proprietary Company's dredge is 7os 17dwt for 85 hours' work this -week. This is from the top mats only. The dredge stopped on Monday owing to the ladder having been beat, and operations were resumed last night. The master of the Greenstone Creek Company's dredge, reporting on the 21st — st., state 3 that the average depth of the wash was 25ft, /width of face about 300 ft, and amcunt of wash dredged 10,878 cmbio yards, or —l average of 9.1 eubio yards per hour. The wash was similar ia character to that treated the previous week. Timber met with in the face is still causing trouble. The necessity for name new buckets ia shown by the fact that some at present in use have no bottoms Ho them.
