PROPERTY SALES. The North Canterbury Stores Company have told lot 3, 306 acres, of Mr R. W. Chapman* Lowland Leo* Estate, at £12 per acre, to Messrs W. and J. (Smith, Fernride. The soma company have also sold 6 acrea and house, belonging to Mr H. F. Reeoe, Rangiora, to Mr Adam Hunter, at a satisfactory figure. Messrs H. Matson and Co. have sold the following properties during the week: —For'Mr H. H. Ellis, section, with dwel-ling-house and accommodation stables, adjoining the abattoir* at Sockbura, to Mr J. Muir; for Mr W. H. Jamieson, 75 acre* at Soathbridge, to Mr David Allan» for Mr Charles dark, 27 acres, adjoining Leeaton, to Mr McCormiekj for Mr Hy. Hudson, his farm of 250 acres, at Kaiapoi, to Mr P. Edwards. ASHBURTON. The entry at Ashburton yesterday consistsd of about 3500 sheep and 20 head of cattle. The sale dragged, and a snail drop in prices was experienced. The following are the quotations:—StorO cattle: Dry cows £3 to £510s; yearlings £1 10s, buß* £_ 10s to £2 17s 6d. Fat cattle: Steers £5 15s to -39 12s 6d, heifers £8 7s 6d, Fat sheep: Crossbred wethers 14s 3d to 17s 9d, crossbred ewes 10s 6d to 17s 2d; do in wool 14a 3d to 18s Id. Store sheep.- Crossbred wethars 16s Sd'tto 14s 17J, crofsbred ewe* and lambs (all count- ! Ed), 10s 9d to 15* 3d; hoggets 14s Id to j 16s 6d, shorn swes 9s 94 t* Is. M.
