He pointed to tne development of the tourist traffic, and remarked that with good hotels and facilities for travel, New Zealand Would* reap from tourist- financial benefits Similar to those secured by Switierland. tlnr Joseph Ward spoke of the progress a_d l-iprovement of the railway services during the last few years. Though there hod been a considerable development, the _overnment had, in concessions and allowances, 1 given back to tbe users of the railways sums amounting to £110,000.
