In the match .Lancaster Park 1 United, the latter batted fint, and thoegh 99 was put on for the first wicket, the later batsmen collapsed, and the total only reached 133. Taylor (47), Clarkson (44), Hair (13)/-and Aitkea (11) were the doublefigure scorers, whilst Atkinson and North were the best of the bowlers. The Lancastrians'tnade 116 for the loss , of 5 wickets, when tine was called 29 not out, Saxton 20, Marony 14, Washer 13, Toomer 12 not out, and Raphael 11). The United B team and Sydenham commenced a, match at Hagley Park, when the former had the better of the d*y*« play. Scores: —United 144 (Woodroffe 40, Kitson 44 not out, Boulton 17, Hnrtland 15, and CUrkson 10); Sydenham 61 '(Patrick 18, Patersoa 14, and Ashby 10). Ashby and Young bowled best for, ,£yd«»hani, -and Truhfer and Boulton for United,. Midland and Rivals met at Sydenham Park on a sticky wiok«t. Rivals in their first innings scored 86 (Fraser Hoars 24) and lost three, wickets for- 6 rnns in their second innings.' Midland •cored 78. (Barry 30 not oui).
