CYCLING.
The Committee of the Christchurch Cycling and Motor Club met on Tuesday. The resignation of Mr Lawson, as captain, was accepted with regret. It was decided to add the following events to the programme: —Ten Mile Invitation Pursuit Race, prize £ls; D.C.L. Challenge Shield, first gold medal value £5 ss, second gold medal value £2, third trophy value £1; Novice Handicap, one mile, £2, £1 and 10s; Half Mile Handicap,' £5, £2, and £l, and also novelty items. An offer for the right of the programmes for Anniversary Day was held over till a future meeting. Messrs Thompson and James were appointed a deputation to wait on the directors of the Lancaster Park Company with reference to the arrangements at the gat*.
