The hearing cf the case Wheeler v Blake was continued at tho 'Supremo Court in Timaru yesterday, when the evidence of witnesses for the plaintiffs was taken. This, went to show that the farm was in fanorder for a sheep farm when the landlord re-entered, and while plaintiff admitted having broken the lease in failing to cut the fences, ho said he had men engaged grubbing and cutting when tho re-entry was made. - Blake had given him notice to effectively begin necessary repairs within seveu days of a certain date, and this plaintiff contended he had done. The landlord had also accepted rent after serving notice. Legal argument will be heard in Christchurch on a date to be fixed. In Adjourning the case tho Judge intimated that it then appeared as if tho result would largely turn on the value to be placed on the notice served by Blako on Wheeler.
