RUSSIA'S SEIZURE OF CHURCH PROPERTY. ASSASSINATIONS OF GREEK PRIESTS. United Press Association—J3y Electric Tolegraph—Copyright. CONSTANTINOPLE, September 15. The Armenian Mafia organisation, in revenge for their successful proselytising, have assassinated at Alexandrople and elsewhere several priests of the Orthodox Church. ST. PETERSBURG, September 15. Reports received here state that disturbances have taken place amongst the Armenian population at Alexandrople and Tiplis. The troublo is the outcome of tho Czar, at the instance of M. Pobiedonostjjeti, tho ec-Procurator of the Holy Synod, M. von Plehve, tho Minister of the Interior, and General Prince Galitzin, the Governor of tho Caucasus, authorising the seizure of the proporty of the Armenian Church in the Caucasus, amounting to 113,000,000 roubles. The Armenians aro greatly excited, and threaten to transfer the Church headquarters to Sis, tho religious capital of Turkish Armenia.
