(ITIESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) OAMARU. July 30. Coursing for the South Island Coursiryjr Club's Open Stake began to-day in firri weather. The attendance was good, the number cf visitors being large. The hares liberated were a strone lot. though towards the end of the afternoon they suflered on account of cold and cr.in-p. Tho coursing witnessed tvas. on the whole, good, and greatly improved iv the second round. Fol.owing are tbo results: — Firs; round—Dunlop beat Tsari'za. Melba be-t, Menc-ikoff.
