Mr G. A. M. Buckley, Mr E. Reynolds (Dunedin). Mr Edgar Jones (Ashburton), and Mr M. A. Phillips arrived in town by the express last evening.
The Hon. E. C. J. Stevens left for Wellington lust evening. Mr A. J. B. Littleton lEiigland), Mr P. M. Thomson (Wellington). Mr W. L. Meek (Wellington), and Mr A. Pelly-Fry arrived in town vesterduv. Mr J. "it. Gh'iidmiiig and Mr J. M. Rams-den left for the South by yesterday morning's express. Mr c-ieoi-ge Rutherford (Ualeihorpe), Mr H. Acton-Adams iii]t_pu), atid Mr Byrch (Amberley) are now in town. Mi- A.F. Stuart, of Cust, who is leaving for South Africa, was entertained at a complimentary dinner prior to his departure. Mr E. W. Cooper was in the chair. During the evening Mr Stuart was presented with a Gladstone bag.
