The retiring President of the Chamber of Commerce said the Pacific Cable Board was not doing justice to itself. It had no local representative here. The Post-master-General stated that the fact that the Board wn« not adopting the ordinary motbods to attract business had been officially brought under the notice of the Board, and he thought something would eventually be done in this direction.
