THE HUMBERT FRAUDS.
United Press Association—-By Electric Telesrapli— Copyright. PARIS, May 20. In accordance with the examining Magistrate's advice, Frederic and Therese Humbert and Remain and Emile d'Aurignac will be charged on May 26t-h with several serious swindles.
[Frederic Humbert is the husband of Tbereso Humbert, the guiding baud in the great frauds. He was at first supposed to be tiie innocent victim of his wife's inventions- Emilo d'Aurignac is the eldest brother of Madame Humbert. Hie connection with the affair is mainly aa a director of the Rente Viagere Coinpaay. He is also accused of having impersonated Robert Crawford in an interview with a Toulon notary. Romain d'Aurignac is the younger brother of Madame Humbert. He emigrated to Argentina, but was recalled at the beginning of tic days of prosperity. He was hie sister's trusted representive in all her enterprises. The Crawford lettere are believed to be in his handwriting, and it is alleged that he fetched from the Post* Restaute the letters addressed to the Crawfords, and made payments to advocates and notaries in their name, generally abstracting some of the money for his own use.
