Hides—At the periodical sales the supply was meagre, but prices are nominally unchanged ; leather and basils are unchanged. Mutton—Canterbury, light medium 4d, heavy 3sd; Dunedin and Southland, 3 13-16th;'North Island, 3 11-16 th. Lambs —Canterbury, light and heavy 4fd; Dunedin and Southland 4|d; North Wand, 4Jd. New Zealand beef—lßo to 220H>, fair average quality ox fores 3jd, hinds 4Jd; River Plate mutton is unchanged, ' lambs 4Jd; beef fores 3*d, hinds 4±d. Wool—Bidding ie brisk aud prices are unchanged. Home and Continental buyers ane competing eagerly. The sales included Elkrslie Ls Ojd, Kapatune Is ljd, Manakuri 74d, Cttstlerock 6£d, Kiwi 6fd, Mako 6d. Up to date in the present series, of the 50,048 hates catalogued 48,172 have been sold. SYDNEY STOCK SALES. (Received May 11th, 10.10 p.m.) SYDNEY, May 11. At the Homebirsh sales the supply of sheep was below requirements. Competition wae keen, and the prices were the highest eince last year's "boom" market*. Best wethers brought 19s, extra 22a 6d, good 16s to 16s 6d; best ewes 17s 6d, extra 21s, good 15s to 16s. Cuttle Bold at improved values. Best bullocks £12, extra £15 7s 6d, good £10 10s. Best cows £9, extra £9 10s, good £7 J5& Best beef 32s per 1001b.
