At a meeting of the Rugby Union Committee to-night, it waa decided to reply to the Caiiterbury Union that the Otago Union would prefer to play this season's match after tie return of the teem from Australia. In accordance with the- request of tike Schools' Foobball Union, it mi lesofad to approach Canterbury -with a Timr to the inauguration of interprovinesl Mboot matches. Evidently the Committee was. not able to agn» ac to the Hole seteetor, and • special meeting is td> be called to consider the question of appointing three selectors.
